Advanced planning allows you to allocate raw materials and production capacity to meet demand optimally.
Advanced planning is the interpreter between production systems, operations and business. It connects to other parts of the supply chain and uses advanced optimization algorithms to generate a process plan, an order of operations, and automatic scheduling. Thanks to its use, delivery times and inventories are significantly reduced, streamlining the flow of material. Industry 4.0’s own technologies are capable of generating a much higher regular flow of information that would be available if more traditional logistics strategies and production methods were employed. This information can be exchanged very quickly both internally and externally. This provides interesting possibilities in relation to external logistics actors and the production site itself in the sense that it could be easily adapted to changing situations.
